Buffer size in 6004EU

Hi! I'm using 6074EU oscilloscope segmented acquisition feature with the provided SDK.The length of the segments is controlled by the buffer size set with dsoHTAttribsBufferLength(m_deviceIndex, ref BUF_LEN, 0);

I realized that I can't choose any number to use as BufferLength. When I try to do this with arbitrary values, the collected segments do not represent reality, i.e. data from channel 2 mix with data in channel 1.
But some specific values of BufferLength works, like 2560, 3072, 4096, 10240, etc.

Can you explain to me, please, what is the logic behind the values of permitted buffer sizes? They must be multiple of 8, of 16, of 24?
